Webinar March 20th

Announcing a free webinar in conjunction with WCET & SAN

While I’m not at SXSWEdu, I hope that someone is eating too much brisket and beef ribs, washed down with Shiner Bock, in my honor. Enjoy.

On to the update.

As the higher ed community is becoming far more aware of the massive changes looming from the third-party servicer (TPS) guidelines, we are getting a ton of questions. I have answered many privately and in a premium newsletter post, but we need more opportunities to publicly discuss the topic and address questions. Accordingly, we are happy to partner with WCET and the State Authorization Network to provide updated descriptions of what is happening and to answer questions in a public forum. On March 20th at 2:00pm EDT, I’ll be presenting and discussing with Russ Poulin and Cheryl Dowd, who have long provided excellent commentary and advice around federal and state policy affecting higher ed. This webinar is free and available for all:

Third-Party Servicer Guidance: Update, What Do We Know, and Why You Should Comment

March 20th, 2023 at 2:00pm EDT

Our plan is to share what we know, address & collect your questions, and suggest why you should provide a public comment (deadline March 29, 2023).

Presenters:

  • Cheryl Dowd; Senior Director, State Authorization Network (SAN) & WCET Policy Innovations

  • Russ Poulin; Executive Director, WCET

  • Phil Hill, Publisher of the PhilOnEdTech blog and Partner at MindWires, LLC (soon to be rebranded as Phil Hill & Associates and the On EdTech blog)

Additional resources for context:

Given the importance of this topic to the entire Higher Ed and EdTech community, we launched a Premium service (On EdTech+) to provide additional analysis and made that service free through May. With that in mind, I am providing an extended list of resources to help provide context.

The main On EdTech newsletter is free to share in part or in whole. All I ask is attribution.
